Washington & Jefferson College Matriculation Ceremony

Washington & Jefferson College's annual Matriculation Ceremony introduces the campus community to the incoming class of first-year students and shares College traditions and insights with them.

Following remarks by President John C. Knapp, Student Government Association President Joseph Ioli '24 will welcome the class and share wisdom for their next four years at W&J based on his own experience. The Ceremony will also feature Dr. Jeannette Kline, professor of mathematics, named Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year by the most recent graduating class.

The Ceremony concludes with the Crossing of the Seal at Old Main, signifying the students' induction into the W&J community.

The Matriculation Ceremony is only open to W&J first-year students, faculty and staff.
